Operating Room RN — Travel Contract | Rochester, NY

Shift: Mid 4x10-Hour | 13:00–23:30

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 16, 2026

This OR position supports a high-volume, diverse surgical service line requiring strong multi-specialty experience. The ideal candidate brings broad procedural knowledge and the flexibility to scrub across service lines as needed.

Specialty Areas Required:

• Orthopedics (total joint replacement, trauma, spinal fusion, arthroscopy)
• Neurosurgery (craniotomy, VP shunt, laminectomy/discectomy, cervical/lumbar fusions)
• GYN/Urology (hysterectomy, laparoscopic GYN, cystoscopy, prostatectomy, TURP)
• Vascular (AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral-popliteal bypass)
• Thoracic (VATS, thoracotomy, lobe/lung resection, mediastinoscopy)
• General Surgery (cholecystectomy, Whipple, colon resection, bariatric)
• ENT, plastics, and robotics (da Vinci) experience also valued

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of OR/surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• BLS required; CNOR preferred
• Active New York RN license required at time of submission
• Phlebotomy and IV placement competency required
• Charting system proficiency required (preferred platform used at this facility)
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible

Additional Details:

• Call shifts required
• Floating expected based on unit needs
• Scrub color: Teal
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days per contract
