Certified Surgical Technologist — General OR | Rochester, NY

Shift: Mid | 5x8-Hour | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 2, 2026

This OR position supports a high-volume surgical program with 12 service lines and a daily case load of 40–60 cases across 13 operating rooms. Candidates must be experienced, adaptable, and comfortable scrubbing across a broad range of specialties.

Procedures & Specialties Include:

• Bariatric: gastric bypass, sleeve, lap band
• Vascular: aortic/AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, femoral popliteal bypass, EVAR
• General/Colorectal: cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, appendectomy, Whipple
• ENT: tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy, radical neck dissection, direct laryngoscopy
• Gynecology: hysterectomy, bilateral tubal ligation, D&C, colporrhaphy
• Spine/Neuro: craniotomy, VP shunt, laminectomy, lumbar/cervical fusion, XLIF
• Orthopedics: total hip/knee replacement, fracture repair, spinal fusion
• Thoracic: VATS, mediastinoscopy
• Urology: prostatectomy, TURP, nephrectomy, cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy
• Robotics: da Vinci Xi, colorectal robotic surgery

Requirements:

• CST certification required (NBSTSA preferred)
• NY state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 3–4 years of OR scrub experience; prior travel experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Floating required
• Call required: 6 shifts per 8-week block, including weekends and holidays
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Requested time off: no more than 10 days per contract
