Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and other conditions requiring close observation and intervention.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously; identify and respond to arrhythmias and changes in patient condition
- Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments; develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team on patient management
- Respond promptly to rapid response and code situations
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
- Manage patient assignments according to unit acuity and staffing guidelines
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention standards
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1+ years telemetry experience
- Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
- Experience managing cardiac medications and monitoring cardiac patients
Position Details
- Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, every other weekend
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Start Date: October 25, 2026
