ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Elizabethtown, KY

Schedule: 3×12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), weekend and holiday rotation

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: November 9, 2026

About the Role

The facility's ICU is seeking a skilled RN to provide direct care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support. You'll manage high-acuity patients with complex medical needs, working collaboratively with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring of critically ill patients
• Manage advanced life support equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitors
• Administer medications including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips per physician orders
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team on individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education regarding condition, treatment, and care needs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments and interventions
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols are consistently followed

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• ADN or ASN; BSN preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years ICU/critical care experience
• Experience with critical care equipment and hemodynamic monitoring
• CCRN certification preferred
