Registered Nurse – ICU

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct care to critically ill patients in the ICU. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team delivering evidence-based, patient-centered nursing in a high-acuity setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and support
• Perform detailed assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Manage advanced life support equipment, including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitors
• Administer medications, including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips, per physician orders
• Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and the care team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and care needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in quality improvement activities and core measures

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• ADN or ASN; BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required
• 1+ years of ICU/critical care experience
• Proficiency with critical care equipment and hemodynamic monitoring
• CCRN certification preferred

Schedule

• 3x12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 9, 2026
• Location: Elizabethtown, KY
