Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse for a 13-week contract. This is a night shift position: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM.
Unit Description
You'll work in a high-volume, high-acuity perinatal service delivering comprehensive maternal and neonatal care. The unit manages labor, delivery, cesarean sections, , antepartum monitoring, and mother-baby couplet care. This is a fast-paced academic teaching environment with on-site attending physician coverage, anesthesia, and NICU support 24/7. The facility also operates an active perinatal transport program.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license (Texas)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume setting
- BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
- Advanced Life Support certification
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of perinatal clinical experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
