Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

Elizabethtown, KY | 13-Week Contract | Days

This travel RN opportunity places you in an ICU caring for critically ill patients requiring close, continuous monitoring and advanced clinical support. The unit manages high-acuity patients across a range of complex and unstable conditions, demanding strong critical thinking and independent clinical judgment.

Shift & Schedule

• 3×12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients with rapidly changing conditions
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and sedation drips per physician orders
• Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Conduct thorough assessments and document ongoing patient response to therapies
• Collaborate with intensivists and the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or applicable compact license)
• ADN required; BSN preferred
• BLS required; ACLS required
• CCRN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care experience
• Proficiency with critical care equipment including ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and titratable drips
