Orthopedic Nursing – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN for its orthopedic unit on the night shift. You'll provide direct patient care to post-operative and acute orthopedic patients in a fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 7 PM – 7 AM (rotating to day shifts as needed)
- Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekends: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other week
- Holiday requirement: Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract
- No block scheduling. Schedule flexibility is essential.
Unit Details
You'll work on the orthopedic unit, caring for patients pre- and post-operatively. Float assignments to other units may occur based on facility needs.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- Current AHA BLS and NIH certifications
- Minimum 2 years recent acute med/surg, telemetry, neuro, and ortho experience
- For international candidates: 2 years U.S. nursing experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Contract Details
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Start date: October 27, 2026
- Charge nurse role: Requested but not required (the facility will train if interested)
