Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology Technologist
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a dynamic cardiovascular and interventional radiology program. You'll work in a fast-paced environment performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures with an emphasis on patient safety, technical excellence, and teamwork.
Shift & Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- On-call required: 12 days per month, including weekends and holidays
- 13-week contract
Cath Lab Procedures
- Left and right heart catheterizations
- Pacemaker insertions
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) support
- Impella device placement and management
Interventional Radiology Procedures
- GI bleed embolizations
- Pulmonary embolism thrombectomies
- Kyphoplasties
- Drain and port placements
- Additional IR procedures as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub, circulate, and monitor during procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields
- Operate imaging equipment and ancillary devices
- Assist physicians with device preparation, placement, and troubleshooting
- Respond to emergent cases
- Maintain radiation safety and infection control compliance
- Deliver high-quality patient care throughout the procedure continuum
Requirements
Current CVIT or RVIT certification required. Strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a high-acuity setting essential.
