Operating Room Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. You'll deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care across multiple surgical specialties while supporting a collaborative surgical team.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• No weekends
• On-call up to 40 hours per 6-week schedule
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum 1+ years of general OR experience
• Ability to function in both circulating and scrub roles

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN (ADN accepted per facility policy)
• CNOR certification
• Experience with diverse surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, GYN, urology, ENT, thoracics, neurosurgery, bariatric, and robotic-assisted procedures

Key Responsibilities

• Provide circulating and/or scrub support across a variety of surgical cases
• Maintain sterile field, instruments, and equipment
• Perform pre-operative assessments and verify consent and surgical site per protocol
• Conduct accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts
• Monitor patient safety and status throughout procedures
• Manage supplies and equipment availability
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical team
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and post-operative handoff
• Document intraoperative care accurately
