Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment. You'll work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) caring for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and telemetry oversight.
Requirements
- Current Ohio or compact state RN license (must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 12 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in Med/Surg Telemetry (from past 12 months)
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (maximum 2 attempts)
What to Expect
You'll provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms, responding to patient needs, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Pre-start and ongoing orientation modules will be required.
Compliance Notes
- Background check must be clear; no open cases accepted
- BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Drug screening (10-panel plus nicotine) required within 12 months of start date and updated annually
- Contract extension available for up to 18 months, followed by a required break
