Registered Nurse – ICU

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its intensive care unit. You will provide direct, comprehensive care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support. This role offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 1, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients; assess, monitor, and respond rapidly to changes in condition
• Manage advanced life support equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitors
• Administer medications, including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips, per physician orders
• Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members on patient care planning
• Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plan, and discharge needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols
• Support a culture of quality improvement and evidence-based practice

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact license)
• Minimum 2 years acute inpatient ICU nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• CCRN certification
• Experience with critical care equipment and hemodynamic monitoring
