MRI Technologist — Travel Contract

Johnson City, TN | 13-Week Assignment | Days

This travel MRI Tech opportunity is based in a busy teaching hospital serving a diverse patient population including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The imaging department handles a high daily census with a broad range of routine and advanced MRI studies.

Schedule

• Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• Monday: 12:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Orientation begins on Mondays (online modules); 16 hours of non-billable orientation included

Clinical Scope

Technologists will perform a wide range of MRI exams, including:

• Brain, spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), and musculoskeletal studies
• Advanced vascular imaging: MRA/MRV (head, neck, abdomen, lower extremity runoff), aortogram, pulmonary MR
• Cardiac MRI with and without contrast, cardiac stress protocols
• Abdominal, pelvic, and breast imaging; MRCP; spectroscopy; perfusion; diffusion sequences
• Preparation and administration of contrast media; peripheral IV starts
• Image post-processing, multiplanar reconstruction, and MIP

Required Certifications & Credentials

• ARRT (R) required; ARRT (MR) required
• BLS (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience

Additional Requirements

• Candidate's permanent residence must be 100+ miles from the facility's service area
• Relias EKG test required within 72 hours of signing
• Drug test must be completed 12–14 days prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• CDC-compliant fit testing required
