Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday–Sunday
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care across the perinatal continuum. This role offers the opportunity to work with laboring patients, manage high-acuity deliveries, and support families during one of life's most significant moments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients using critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and support staff to ensure safe, optimal outcomes
- Assess and monitor patients across the age spectrum as appropriate to the setting
- Direct and supervise support staff in patient care delivery
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to promote continuity of care
- Perform general nursing duties with minimal supervision
Required Qualifications
- RN license, current and in good standing in Iowa
- Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred)
- Current BLS certification (AHA Heart Code); new hires must certify within three months
- Current ACLS certification
- Acute care nursing experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively within a team-based environment
- Basic computer skills and sound clinical judgment
