Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Matthews, NC
This medical-surgical telemetry unit specializes in bariatric and orthopedic patient care, serving adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations with 24-hour inpatient coverage. The team is supported by an interdisciplinary network including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 4 x 12-hour nights (18:45–07:15)
- Contract duration: 16+ weeks (through February 27, 2027)
- Start date: November 2026
- Orientation: 36 hours; full availability required during week one
Schedule Requirements
- Weekend shifts: 2–3 per 6-week period
- Floating within the facility is required
- Pre-approved RTO only; no RTO requests after signing
Required Certifications & Skills
- BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, Telemetry, IV Start
- EKG competency test required prior to start
- Must maintain hand hygiene compliance ≥ 75%
- Key clinical skills: telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition, blood product administration, central line and peripheral line care, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, rapid response/code team utilization
Preferred
- ACLS
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience; first-time travelers accepted
- NC or Compact license (pending acceptable at submission)
- Scrubs: navy, white, or a combination (not provided by facility)
