Emergency Room RN — Travel Contract | Rochester, NY

Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Contract

This night-shift opportunity places you in a fast-paced adult emergency department managing a diverse caseload across all emergency diagnoses, including stroke/CVA, neuro-trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, gunshot wounds, drug overdose, acute cardiac events, and behavioral health presentations.

Shift & Scheduling

• 3×12-hour nights (7p–7a), every other weekend required
• Holiday availability required on a rotating basis
• Up to one pre-approved time-off block per contract

Patient Population & Ratios

• Adults and geriatrics; all emergency diagnoses

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN license (single-state; NY is not Compact — no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (valid NIHSS must be submitted with application)
• PALS and TNCC preferred

Key Clinical Skills Required

• IV vasopressors; blood product administration; central line care; phlebotomy
• CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
• Cardiac monitoring — interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• ; isolation precautions; procedural sedation monitoring
• Management of violent or suicidal patients; stroke protocol experience

Additional Details

• Floating required within skillset
• Scrub color: any combination of navy blue and white
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
• First-time travelers accepted
• Minimum 1 year of ED experience required
