MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool RN — 13-Week Contract

Bridgeport, WV | Days | 12-Hour Shifts

This float pool position places you across multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units, caring for a diverse patient population. You'll report to the clinical coordinator's office at the start of each shift for unit assignment and will typically be placed on a designated "parent unit" with telemetry patients appropriate to your scope of practice.

Common Patient Diagnoses:

• Congestive heart failure, chest pain, cardiac catheterization recovery
• ia, COPD, chronic renal disease
• Orthopedic conditions and oncology (chemotherapy administered by permanent staff only)

Shift & Scheduling Details:

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
• Holiday rotation shared with permanent staff
• No on-call requirement

Certifications Required:

• BLS and ACLS (current)
• All travelers must pass an on-site cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to starting

Clinical Expectations:

• Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Drip titration is not expected in this role; CPAP/BiPap managed by respiratory therapy
• CNAs are available on all units to support nursing care

Orientation: 1–2 preceptored shifts upon arrival

Scrubs: Royal blue

Note: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and must provide a valid, unexpired driver's license at submission. BSN not required.
