Neuroscience RN – Night Shift | Morgantown, WV | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is on a neuroscience medical-surgical unit caring for a diverse neurological patient population. The unit manages patients with stroke, seizures, deep brain stimulators (DBS), neurological disorders, and post-operative spinal surgery cases.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend nights: Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Travelers should expect to participate in holiday rotation

Clinical Details

• Floor-level acuity with charge nurse support 24/7 and nurse aides on every shift
• Telemetry is present on the unit; monitor techs read strips — RNs document verification rather than independently interpreting
• Respiratory therapy is available around the clock; floor ventilators are managed by RT and physician, so vent experience is not required
• Drip titration occurs per physician order; common drips include amiodarone, insulin, and vasopressors
• Strong proficiency with G-tubes is expected

Requirements

• Current RN license (West Virginia or compact)
• BLS (AHA) — required
• NIHSS certification — required and must be in hand at time of submission
• ACLS — preferred
• Solid, recent neuroscience nursing experience
• BSN not required

• Orientation: 1 unit-specific shift
• Float potential to other medical-surgical units within the facility
• Cancellation policy: up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Scrubs: any combination of white and royal blue
• Start date: October 12, 2026
