Neuro Nursing – Night Shift
The Opportunity
Join the neurosciences unit for 12-hour night shifts (7 PM–7:30 AM) caring for patients with stroke, seizures, deep brain stimulators, post-operative spine cases, and other neurological conditions. This is a fast-paced acute care environment where strong clinical skills and patient advocacy are essential.
Unit Details
- Patient Population: Neurosciences, post-op spine, DBS, stroke, seizures, and neurological disorders
- Support Services: RT available 24/7; telemetry monitored with tech strip reading (RNs verify in charting system)
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS (AHA) certification
- NIHSS certification (required at time of submission)
- ACLS preferred
- Strong neuro nursing experience
- Proficiency with G-tubes
- Recent experience with the facility's charting system
What to Expect
- Weekend night shifts: Friday/Saturday/Sunday OR Saturday/Sunday/Monday rotation
- Possible 3 consecutive shifts (not guaranteed)
- 1-shift unit orientation
- Flexible float assignments to neighboring units as needed
- Holiday rotation expected
- 2 shifts cancellable per 13-week contract

Any background hits must be disclosed at time of submission. Scrubs: white and royal blue in any combination.
Contract: 13 weeks | Hours: 48/week guaranteed
