PCU / Stepdown

MedSurg Stepdown / Floor RN — Night Shift | Morgantown, WV

This 13-week travel contract places you on a combined MedSurg Stepdown and Floor unit delivering acute care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Cancellation policy: up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract

Unit & Clinical Scope

• Combined stepdown and general floor environment
• RNs must be comfortable titrating drips
• Telemetry is present on the unit; tele techs post strips each shift, but RNs must be independently proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Respiratory therapy is in-house 24/7; ventilated patients may be present on the unit
• Charge nurse and transport RN support available during day hours
• Certified nursing aides on unit each shift

Float Requirement

• Floating to other units may be required

Requirements

• Active RN license (West Virginia or compact)
• BLS certification required
• Telemetry interpretation skills required
• Ability to titrate IV drips
• BSN not required

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs
