ICU Registered Nurse | Southern California | Day Shift
A Southern California acute care facility is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract beginning late October 2026.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 or 48 hours per week guaranteed
- Must be willing to work at least one major holiday during the contract period
Unit Overview
This ICU manages complex, high-acuity patients requiring critical care nursing interventions. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care plan development and implementation, coordination across the interdisciplinary team, discharge planning, and patient/family education. Nurses in this unit supervise and delegate to supporting nursing staff using professional judgment and critical thinking.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN license in California
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- PALS (AHA or ARC)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health records required
