PACU Registered Nurse — Saint Helena, CA

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

This opportunity places you in a post-anesthesia care unit providing skilled, attentive nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. The unit supports a diverse surgical population requiring close monitoring and clinical intervention during the immediate post-operative phase.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Monday through Friday, 5 × 8-hour shifts
• On-call expectation: 8 hours or less

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Start date: November 9, 2026

Clinical Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients in the immediate post-operative period
• Identify and respond to changes in patient condition
• Coordinate care with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education
• Delegate appropriately and supervise assigned nursing staff

Required Credentials

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS required
• PALS required

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Minimum 5 years of recent PACU or acute care nursing experience
• Prior experience with electronic health records
