Emergency Room RN — Travel Contract

Oakland, CA | Night Shift | 17-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is in a high-volume emergency department serving a diverse patient population across all age groups — neonates through geriatrics. The department manages a broad acuity range with strong interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, and unit secretarial staff.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Contract dates: November 2, 2026 – February 27, 2026
• Intermittent weekend coverage required
• Candidates must be available for 2 of 3 major holidays
• Blackout dates: November 22–30 and December 21–January 4
• No on-call required

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS
• NIHSS and TNCC preferred

Required Clinical Skills

• Level I or II trauma experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration
• Care of ventilated patients
• IV vasopressor administration
• , phlebotomy, isolation precautions/PPE

Experience

• Minimum 2 years ED experience required
• 18 months accepted from a comparable facility
• First-time travelers welcome
• MAB, Team, or CPI training required prior to start

Additional Requirements

• Valid California RN license required at time of submission
• 75-mile radius rule applies
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Candidates must have been separated from any permanent position for at least 6 months
• Floating within the hospital may be required
