Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) on a 13-week contract.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license to practice in state/district
- Minimum 3 years of emergency department experience
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, and CPI (NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course) certifications
- BSN highly desired
About the Role
You'll work in a fast-paced emergency environment managing a diverse patient population—from urgent care to pediatric, psychiatric, and critical care/trauma cases. Your responsibilities include:
- Administering critical care skills: medication titrations, arterial line management, chest tube care, and mass transfusion protocols
- Coordinating and delivering care for patients with complex nursing needs
- Ensuring safety, quality, and positive patient experiences
- Supporting the department's high-acuity patient flow
Schedule & Location
- Three 12-hour day shifts per week
- 36 guaranteed hours
- Must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility
