ICU Registered Nurse — Nights | Simi Valley, CA

This 13-week night shift contract (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) places you in a fast-paced ICU serving the Southern California region, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and the option to pick up 48-hour weeks.

The Role

You'll deliver coordinated, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients, applying clinical assessment, care planning, and outcome evaluation across the full nursing process. The position involves supervising and directing assigned nursing staff, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and exercising independent clinical judgment in a complex ICU environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and develop individualized care plans for ICU patients
• Implement interventions and continuously evaluate progress toward patient outcomes
• Coordinate and delegate care across the healthcare team
• Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning
• Maintain a safe, healing, and patient-centered care environment

Schedule & Availability

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36- or 48-hour weeks available
• One holiday off may be approved; availability for the second holiday is required

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN license (California or applicable compact state)
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• PALS (AHA or ARC)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Experience & Education

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or acute care experience required
• BSN preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation is required
