Endoscopy Nurse
Position Overview
Join the endoscopy team at the facility in Asheville, NC as a travel nurse. You'll support a high-volume procedural unit performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 07:00–17:00
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- On-call: 2 weekend 24-hour call shifts per 6-week cycle, plus 1 night per week
- Flexibility expected: Block scheduling for extended time off is not routinely accommodated
Unit Details
The endoscopy suite includes 9 pre-op bays, 4 procedure rooms, and 6 post-procedure recovery bays. You'll work alongside 8 full-time staff members, supporting variable patient volumes. Float duties may include main PACU, Phase II recovery, pre-op, and OR (if you have prior OR experience).
Procedures & Clinical Scope
- EBUS, bronchoscopy, EGD, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, and interventional ultrasound
- Pulmonary procedural experience is preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in-hospital endoscopy experience (required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Self-motivated and flexible mindset
- Surgical scrubs provided
