Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN to join its Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory)
• Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on care coordination and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Typically manage 4–6 patients per shift

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (state or compact license)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• 1+ years of Med-Surg Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry/EKG interpretation
• ADN or ASN; BSN preferred

Shift & Contract Details

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 12-hour shifts
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 9, 2026
