Med/Surg Travel Nurse — Wichita, KS
Nights | 4x12 | 13-Week Contract
This Med/Surg unit in Wichita, KS is seeking an experienced travel nurse for a night shift assignment. The position covers a broad range of general medical and surgical patients, requiring solid assessment skills and the ability to manage a varied acuity caseload.
Schedule & Contract Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 4x12-hour nights
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call obligation
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 8, 2026
Float Requirements
Candidates should be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area.

Required Credentials for Submission
- Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
- Skills checklist

Onboarding Requirements
- Core competency and EKG exam completion
- Color vision assessment
- Point-of-care glucose testing certification
- Standard immunization documentation (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza)
- TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit test and health statement
- Background check and 11-panel drug screen
- Employment and education verification
Ideal Candidate
- Active, unencumbered RN license in Kansas (or compact eligibility)
- Prior Med/Surg travel or staff experience preferred
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-campus environment
