Medical-Surgical RN — Travel Contract | Wichita, KS

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 4 x 12-hour shifts

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week

Start Date: November 8, 2026

About the Role

This Medical-Surgical position is based in Wichita, KS, caring for a general acute care adult patient population. The unit manages a broad range of medical and surgical diagnoses, requiring strong assessment skills and the ability to prioritize care across varying acuity levels.

Schedule & Float Requirements

• Every other weekend required
• No on-call obligations
• Candidates should be prepared to float to similar Med-Surg units on the same campus or to a sister campus within Wichita

Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs

Requirements

• Active RN license (must be verifiable via Nursys)
• Minimum 1–2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience preferred
• EKG competency required (exam completed during onboarding)
• Skills checklist and two professional references required at submission
• Standard immunization documentation required (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, TB screening)
• Fit test, color vision screening, and drug screen required at onboarding
• Background check required

This is a strong long-term contract opportunity for an experienced Med-Surg RN comfortable working nights and adapting across multiple units within the same health system.
