Medical-Surgical Nursing – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work four 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) on an every-other-weekend schedule with no call requirements. This role offers 48 guaranteed hours per pay period.

Clinical Scope

You'll provide care to medical-surgical patients across the unit, supporting a range of conditions and post-operative recovery. Float flexibility to similar units on the same campus or other campuses within Wichita may be required.

Schedule & Logistics

• Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, four days per week
• Every other weekend
• No call duty
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed 48 hours per pay period

Requirements

• Current RN license (Nursys verification required)
• License/Certificate Verification
• BLS/ACLS certifications
• EKG competency
• Willingness to float to like units as needed

Onboarding & Credentials

Standard facility onboarding includes core competencies, skills checklist, EKG exam, unit-specific orientation, and required health screenings (vaccinations, TB testing, drug screen, background check, fit testing).

Attire

Ceil blue scrubs.
