Medical-Surgical Travel Nurse | Wichita, KS

This travel RN opportunity places you in a Medical-Surgical unit in Wichita, KS, with a 90-week (approximately 13-week rolling) contract and a start date of November 8, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 12-hour night shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Guaranteed 48 hours per contract period

Unit Details

• Medical-Surgical setting with standard acute care patient population
• Candidates must be comfortable floating to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs

Required Credentials (at submission)

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
• License/Certificate Verification
• Skills checklist
• Two professional references

Onboarding Requirements

• EKG competency exam
• Core competencies assessment
• Point-of-care glucose testing proficiency
• Background check, employment and education verification
• Immunization documentation: MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza
• TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Respirator fit test
• 11-panel drug screen
• Valid Driver's License or State ID

Ideal Candidate

• Solid Med-Surg experience with comfort in a float-required environment
• Strong EKG recognition skills
• Adaptable and reliable across varying patient assignments
