Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced PACU nurse for a 12-hour day shift role. This is a 13-week contract with a Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends, no holidays).
Shift Details
- Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Day/night rotation format
- Monday–Friday only
Clinical Scope
You'll manage Phase 1 recovery for complex post-operative patients, including those recovering from neuro, thoracic, vascular, and orthopedic spine procedures. Pediatric patient care is a core part of this role.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of PACU experience with demonstrated expertise in Phase 1 recovery for large, complex cases
- Pediatric experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
- Must pass telemetry competency assessment on day 1 with a minimum score of 84%
Preferred Qualification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
