Nursing Position – Emergency Department
The Opportunity
The facility is seeking an experienced nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 90-week contract position offering stable, predictable scheduling.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend
- No on-call duties
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Details
You'll work in a fast-paced emergency setting, providing direct patient care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Float assignments to similar units on the same campus or other campuses within Wichita may be required.
Requirements
- Active nursing license (Nursys verification required)
- Current immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot)
- Fit test and health statement
- Valid driver's license or state ID
- Two professional references
- Employment and education verification
Onboarding
You'll complete facility-specific competency assessments including specialty exam, EKG exam, core competencies checklist, and electronic health record training. A background check and 11-panel drug screen are required.
