Oncology Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a dedicated oncology nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work nights in a fast-paced oncology unit, providing compassionate care to patients undergoing cancer treatment.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour nights)
- Every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- Ceil blue scrubs
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and supportive care medications
- Monitor patients for treatment side effects and complications
- Collaborate with oncology teams on patient care plans
- Provide emotional support to patients and families navigating cancer treatment
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (verification required)
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Strong IV therapy and medication administration skills
- Ability to work in a high-acuity environment
- Professional references and background clearance
Onboarding Requirements
Standard health screening, immunizations (MMR, Tdap, influenza, hepatitis B, varicella), tuberculosis testing, fit testing, and facility-specific competency assessments will be completed during onboarding.
