Oncology Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Wichita, KS. This is a night shift role working 4 x 12-hour shifts, 07:00 PM–07:30 AM, every other weekend with no on-call requirements.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 12-hour nights per week
• Every other weekend
• No call
• 48 guaranteed hours per week
• Start date: November 8, 2026

Requirements

• Current, active nursing license (Nursys verification required at submission)
• License/Certificate Verification
• ACLS or equivalent certification preferred

Onboarding Essentials

Standard facility onboarding includes vaccination verification (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap), TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), fit test, health statement, criminal background check, drug screening, EKG exam, and core competency and skills checklists. You'll also complete orientation to the facility's EHR system and unit-specific protocols.

Clinical Details

You'll provide compassionate care to oncology patients, supporting treatment plans, symptom management, and patient education in a specialized cancer care environment.
