Emergency Department RN – Travel Contract | Greensboro, NC

Nights | 4x12 | 20-Week Contract

A busy combined adult and pediatric emergency department is seeking an experienced RN for an immediate night shift opening. This is a non-trauma ED serving a broad patient population including adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics.

Schedule

• 4x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Minimum 8 weekend shifts per contract
• Holidays as needed
• Float to other campuses may be required

Clinical Scope

• High-volume ED with a wide range of medical, neurological, and trauma-adjacent presentations
• Blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, IV placement and maintenance
• Continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• CPAP/BiPAP management, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Active RN license required at time of submission
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• EKG competency exam required (2 attempts allowed)
• No local candidates within 50 miles
• Third-party education verification required
• Background check: no open cases permitted
• Pre-approved time off must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted

Scrubs / Dress Code: Not specified

Orientation: 12 hours; unit-based compliance modules (approximately 2–4 hours, non-billable)
