Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Greensboro, NC | Nights | 4x12 | 20-Week Contract

This is an urgent opening for an experienced Emergency Department RN to join a combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma ED on night shift. Start date is October 26th with no flexibility — candidates must be ready to begin by that date.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• At least 8 weekend shifts per contract; holidays as needed
• Float to other campus locations required as needed

Clinical Scope

The ED serves a diverse patient population spanning pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Nurses are expected to manage moderate-to-high acuity presentations with confidence in the following areas:

• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Starting and maintaining IVs / phlebotomy
• Continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• CPAP/BiPAP management and ventilated patient care
• ABG interpretation and dysrhythmia/EKG interpretation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• EKG competency exam required (2 attempts permitted)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
