Med/Surg Telemetry – Travel RN | Canton, OH

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Med/Surg Telemetry assignment offers day shift coverage on a unit managing a broad range of medical and surgical patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The unit handles moderate-to-high acuity cases with an emphasis on ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3×12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Travelers must work at least every other holiday

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 13, 2026
• Extensions available for up to 18 months; a 6-month break is required thereafter

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of combined permanent (non-travel) experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or multi-state compact license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active BLS and ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross) — must be in hand, no pending certifications accepted
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Proficiency with electronic health records required

Additional Requirements

• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months — no peer/co-worker references accepted
• ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication assessments completed during orientation; two attempts maximum to pass
• BCI/FBI fingerprint clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• No open background case or license hits accepted
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
