Med/Surg Travel Nurse — Wichita, KS

This Med/Surg travel nursing position is a night shift role located in Wichita, KS, with a contract duration of 13 weeks and an anticipated start date of October 18, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call required

Unit Details

• Medical/Surgical unit focused on general acute care nursing
• Floating may be required to comparable units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area
• Ceil blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active RN license (verified through Nursys)
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med/Surg experience preferred
• EKG competency (exam required at onboarding)
• Point-of-care glucose testing competency required
• Color vision assessment required at onboarding
• Standard immunization documentation: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Fit testing, health statement, and drug screening required
• Skills checklist and core competency testing required prior to or at onboarding
• Two professional references required at submission
• Background check required

This is a straightforward, high-volume Med/Surg assignment well suited for experienced travel nurses comfortable with general acute care patient populations and flexible float expectations across multiple sites within the same city.
