Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit on the night shift. You'll provide direct patient care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Night 3×12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Scheduling: Every other weekend required. Blocked schedules (Friday–Sunday) available if willing to work all weekends.
- Holidays: Minimum of 2 holiday shifts required during contract term.
Clinical Details
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years PICU experience with exposure to cardiac ICU (CICU)
- Float Requirement: Yes—may float to cardiac ICU as needed based on census
- Clinical Scope: High-acuity pediatric and cardiac patients
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (current and required)
- Valid Ohio or multi-state compact license
- Copy of all nursing certifications required at submission
Requirements
- Full COVID-19 and flu vaccination (no exemptions)
- Supervisor reference within past 2 years
- Clean background (no license hits)
- RTO requests (maximum 5 days) must be submitted at time of application
