Stepdown RN – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 13-week contract beginning November 13, 2026. You'll provide direct patient care in a stepdown unit, with potential to float to related units to support the same patient population.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour rotating shifts
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Shifts may vary to meet operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preferred schedule
• Must work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months permanent experience in stepdown nursing
• Current, active Ohio or compact state RN license
• Active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One professional reference (manager, charge nurse, supervisor, or director) from your specialty within the past 12 months required at submission

Orientation & Assessments

During orientation, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate competency assessment. Both must be passed; you have two attempts maximum.

Background Requirements

• Background check and drug screen required
• No open cases or license hits
• BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing

Other Details

• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• Annual competency modules required for continuous contracts beyond one year
• Extensions available up to 18 months; 6-month break required before returning
