Stepdown RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its stepdown unit. You'll provide care to patients transitioning from higher acuity settings, managing post-operative recovery, monitoring cardiac rhythms, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. This role offers the opportunity to float to adjacent units caring for similar patient populations when needed.
Schedule & Duration
- Shift: 3x12-hour rotating (Days: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM | Nights: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 13, 2026
- Shifts may rotate based on operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preferred schedule
- Expect to work at least every other holiday
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months permanent, full-time experience in stepdown or similar acute care nursing
- Current, permanent Ohio license or valid compact state license (required at submission)
- Active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Active ACLS
- Active NIHSS certification
- One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director (from work within the past 12 months)
During Orientation
You'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition assessment and safeMedicate competency testing. Passing scores on both are required to continue.
