HVTI-Stepdown RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its step-down unit. This role offers the opportunity to provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care, with potential to float to related units caring for the same patient population.
Shift & Schedule
- 3×12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 07:00–19:30 | Night: 19:00–07:30)
- Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands
- Availability required for at least every other holiday
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: November 13, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (Ohio permanent or compact state)
- Minimum 12 months permanent experience in step-down nursing
- Active certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, NIHSS
- One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in your specialty (from assignments within the past 12 months)
Onboarding & Assessments
- Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments; acceptable scores required on both (maximum two attempts)
- BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Background and license review required; no open cases or license hits accepted
Additional Requirements
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Drug screen (10 Panel + Nicotine) within 12 months of start date
- Annual competency modules as required by facility
