HVTI-Stepdown RN

Position Overview

We're seeking a Registered Nurse for a stepdown unit providing care to patients transitioning from intensive care. You'll manage complex medical and post-surgical patients requiring close monitoring and skilled nursing intervention.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM | Night: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs
• At least every other holiday required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current RN license: Ohio or compact state (must be in hand at submission)
• 12 months permanent experience in stepdown or similar acute care setting
• Active certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, NIHSS
• One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months (required for submission)

Orientation & Competencies

During orientation you'll complete:

• ECG rhythm recognition assessment
• SafeMedicate assessment
• Maximum 2 attempts to pass each; acceptable scores required to continue

Facility Requirements

• Successful background check with no open cases
• BCI/FBI clearance completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• All certifications must be active and in hand prior to start
• Potential to float to related units caring for similar patient populations

Potential for Extension

Contracts may be extended up to 18 months, with a required 6-month break thereafter (may be deferred with facility approval).
