Stepdown RN — 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 13-week contract in a high-acuity stepdown unit. You'll care for patients transitioning from intensive care, providing skilled monitoring and clinical support in a fast-paced environment. There is potential to float to related units while caring for the same patient population.
Schedule & Location
- Shift: 3x12-hour rotating days and nights (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Shift rotation: Shifts may vary to meet operational needs; the facility will work to honor your preference when possible
- Holiday coverage: You must work at least every other holiday
- Location: Cleveland, OH
Requirements
- 12 months permanent RN experience in stepdown or similar acute-care specialty
- Active Ohio or compact state nursing license (required at time of submission)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from the past 12 months—co-worker references will not be accepted
- Background check clearance (BCI/FBI prints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing)
- ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation; acceptable score required (2 attempts maximum)
Additional Information
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Contract can be extended up to 18 months; 6-month break required thereafter
- Annual hands-on competency modules required for continuing or returning assignments
