Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, monitoring and managing patients with cardiac conditions and general medical-surgical diagnoses.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Day (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) and Night (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands
• Must work at least every other holiday
• 13-week contract

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients on telemetry; recognize and respond to rhythm changes
• Provide direct patient care and medication administration
• Potential to float to other medical-surgical and emergency department units as needed
• Complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety evaluations

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license: Permanent Ohio or compact state license (in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 12 months permanent experience in medical-surgical nursing or telemetry
• Active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One managerial or supervisory reference from past 12 months (required for submission)
• Pass background check and license verification
• Successful completion of required orientation assessments (two attempts maximum)

Facility Requirements

• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Drug screening required
• Background check must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
