Med/Surg Telemetry RN – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing patients with medical and surgical diagnoses.

Shift & Schedule

• Rotating 3x12-hour shifts: Days (07:00–19:30) and nights (19:00–07:30)
• Shifts may vary to meet operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preference
• Must work at least every other holiday

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to med/surg tele patients, including ECG monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Potential to float to similar patient populations on designated units and the ED as needed
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation (acceptable scores required)

Requirements

• 12 months of permanent RN experience in med/surg or telemetry (required)
• One year of recent oncology/chemotherapy experience preferred (training provided for qualified candidates)
• Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at submission
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Manager or supervisor reference from the past 12 months required

Additional Information

• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Background check and drug screening required
• Contract extension available up to 18 months with facility approval
