Med/Surg Tele RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN to join a dynamic telemetry unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced setting, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing medically complex patients with diverse diagnoses.
Shift & Schedule
- Rotating 3x12-hour shifts: Days (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) and nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will honor preferred schedules when possible
- Mandatory holiday coverage: work at least every other holiday
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months permanent experience in medical/surgical telemetry
- Current Ohio or Compact State RN license (in hand at time of submission)
- Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director (from work within the past 12 months)
Unit Details & Responsibilities
- Work in a telemetry unit caring for medical and surgical patients
- Potential to float to other units caring for similar patient populations
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (two attempts to pass each)
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team
