RN – Skilled Care/Swing Bed Unit
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract: 13 weeks
Location: Sapulpa, OK
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
About the Role
You'll provide direct nursing care on a skilled care unit that specializes in helping patients transition from acute hospitalization back to home or long-term care. This is hands-on, coordinated care with clear clinical purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Assess, document, and communicate patient status to the care team
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care and execute physician/nursing orders
- Plan and facilitate safe patient discharge in collaboration with healthcare staff
- Work independently with strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Adhere to Standard Precautions and infection control protocols
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required at submission)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Required onboarding: pharmacology and medical-surgical competency exams, core competencies checklist, immunization records (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, Hepatitis B, TB screening), fit testing, and background check
What to Expect
You'll work nights on a unit focused on rehabilitation and skilled nursing—patients who are stable but need coordinated care and therapies as they prepare for discharge. Standard precautions apply; PPE provided as needed.
