Emergency Department Nurse – 12-Hour Nights

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work the night shift (7 PM – 7 AM) and will be expected to work every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Unit Details

This is a fast-paced emergency setting serving patients of all ages, including stroke cases at a New York State Designated Stroke Center. You'll manage a diverse patient population with acuities ranging from minor injuries to critical emergencies.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license in good standing
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
• Telemetry skills (ability to read cardiac strips)
• Experience managing drips and ventilators
• Floor-specific orientation required

• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Night shifts only (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Every-other-weekend requirement
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• No floating between units
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with your application
